I recently attended a job interview. Though the exchange seemed to be human-interactive, emails and assessments sent by whom I thought to be a real person. It turned out an algorithm will determine whether I get the job or not, based on trigger words in my resume and my answers on the assessment. My natural curiosity made me move to inquire. When a real human did not showup to the “interactive review”, I called the actual company and inquired. I was told by a human that someone will contact me if I get the job. Wait..so a human doesn’t determine that??🤔 The HR person could not answer my questions because she hadn’t yet seen my resume; the emails I interacted with signed by “Greg” and “Samantha” were from a cloud in the virtual air. I want to know more.😲
